Top iOS Platformer Games in Australia: A Q1 2021 Snapshot

The first quarter of 2021 has been an exciting period for platformer games on the iOS platform in Australia. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into the performance of the top games in this category.

Zynga Inc.'s High Heels! experienced an upward trend in downloads, peaking at 67K in mid-February before settling to 17K by the end of March. Revenue fluctuated, reaching a high of $225K in the same month and dipping to $31K towards the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored downloads, hitting a high of 122K before dropping to 66K.

Another Zynga title, Blob Runner 3D, saw its downloads soar to 50K in the first week of February, then gradually decline to 8K by the quarter's end. Since the game generated no revenue, the focus remains on its active users, which spiked at 78K and then decreased to 22K.

SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD's Stacky Dash also had no revenue to report but downloads showed a significant drop from 24K at the beginning of the year to 5K in late March. Weekly active users started strong at 44K but experienced a drop, ending at 28K.

Subway Surfers by Sybo Games ApS, a long-standing favorite, maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $4K in late February and early March. Downloads showed a slight decline from 16K to 10K over the quarter. However, the weekly active users were impressive, climbing from 197K at the start of the quarter to 245K by the end.

Lastly, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! from King launched late in the quarter but made a significant impact with $6K in revenue in its first week. Downloads were strong at 135K during its launch week, followed by a natural dip to 36K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 127K to 128K.
